Sample Nanny Cover Letter
Jake and Marsha Thompson
9839 Clover Willow Way
Grandview, Ohio 43212
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Thompson,
I am responding to your ad that I saw in The Columbus Dispatch for a live in Nanny. As you can see from my resume, which I have attached for your review, I have had more than 10 years of experience in caring for children. I took care of the mayor of Columbus’s children, Michael Coleman. He has three children. I was their nanny for more than 5 years.
As an accomplished Nanny, I have kept my CPR and First Aid certifications up to date. I feel it is important to have this knowledge when working with children, as it can save their lives. I understand that your children are 6 months and 3 years of age. While babies can be a challenge, I have techniques that I use that can calm even the most unsettled child. I believe in having a structured day that gives children a schedule that they can accustomed themselves too.
I am looking for a great position as a nanny that also provides a place to live. As an early childhood education major, I am more than qualified for the position you require. I don’t mind doing additional chores and work great with others. I have a newer car and carry full coverage insurance. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this position. I can be reached at 740-987-1209 anytime.
